We are excited to announce our first Sunday worship service in our new sanctuary is set for Sunday, December 5, 2010. Coffee and donuts start at 10:00, and singing at 10:30. We will serve lunch after morning worship services. Come and join us!

The exterior of our new building is nearly complete. Trees and sod are installed and the parking lot has been paved. Inside, the sanctuary ceiling is now drywalled and primed.

Below you can see a view from the kitchen area looking east through the fellowship hall. Since this photo, roof decking has been installed and the entire building is roughly dried in.

The structural steel for the sanctuary arrived this week, and you can see in this photo that installation has begun. Soon the building will take shape!

Framing began late last week. Here is the east wall of the fellowship hall.

Final preparation is being made to pour the foundation slab. In these photos you can see under-slab plumbing and conduit and some of the curbing for our parking lot.

The stormwater runoff detention pond is complete. It may look big in this picture, but it’s actually bigger.

Our architectural firm, Randall-Paulson, has provided a perspective sketch of our planned sanctuary. The project is featured on the firm’s web site. General contracting firm R W Smith provided an aerial photograph of the site taken yesterday.

The large house formerly situated on the knoll is already gone. We were sad to see the weeping willows and stone entry removed, but they had to make way for construction equipment and a wider driveway.
