Brent Coleman expounds upon the Lord’s prayers in Matthew 6 and Matthew 21, encouraging us to pray daily for those things we are in need of. God has promised to give us everything we request, believing, in accordance with His will. In this message, Brent illustrates the power of prayer with testimony from his own life at a time when he prayed to meet a woman he could marry.

Mike Farrin shares how his hope in the Lord’s goodness and salvation gives us him confidence and patience to endure trials. Each of us can trust in the Lord when we are tried. Even if the things on earth we hope for do not come to pass, God’s salvation will not fail, and He has promised to give us strength if we look to Him.

This Sunday only, 5/9, Bethany Church will meet in the old sanctuary belonging to New Life Church. Follow the same directions to reach the church campus, then park near the older sanctuary building. Our parking area will be designated “No Parking,” so look for those signs and follow us! This weekend New Life Church had a need for the gym/lunchroom location we typically use, but we will return there next Sunday.

Our annual spring meeting begins Friday night, with dinner at 6:00 and services at 7:00. Invited ministers are Elders Buddy Abernathy and Jeff Winfrey. All meetings will be held at Friendship Christian School. Here is the full schedule:

We at Bethany Church warmly invite our friends and neighbors to join us at our annual fall meeting. This year we have invited several ministers serving Atlanta area churches, and we look forward to seeing many in their congregations visit us for a good time of worship and fellowship. We are also pleased that Elder Steven Bloyd of Bel Air, Maryland has agreed to be with us for the entirety of the meeting.

The meeting will be held October 23-25 at Friendship Christian School. The school is at 3160 Old Atlanta Road in Suwanee, behind New Life Church. Our special thanks to the good folks at New Life Church, who have been very welcoming and accommodating during our time between permanent buildings. The first service will be Friday, October 23 at 7:00; we will not be serving dinner that evening. On Saturday we will have morning services at 10:30, lunch at noon, afternoon services at 2:00, dinner at 6:00, and communion service at 7:30. The meeting will conclude on Sunday with morning services at 10:30 followed by lunch.

Friendship Christian School is on the campus of New Life Church, located just a couple of miles north of our future building site. We are evaluating the school as an alternate facility for use during construction. We will return to our facility at 11330 Lakefield Drive for services on Sunday, August 23.

We have moved out of our sanctuary in Tucker. This Sunday we will hold our first meeting in downtown Johns Creek. We have sold the Tucker sanctuary and expect to purchase land and begin construction of a new building in the Johns Creek area within the next 6 months. Visit our web site for directions.
